Behind the Scenes and a Big Thanks

(Not a picture of me)

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to give you a little "behind the scenes" look into my life this week.  Most of you know that I work as a chiropractor, in addition to my Stampin' UP! business.  Way back in October, the software company that we have used for 12+ years was bought out by another company.  We were told that we could purchase new software from the takeover company or stay with our old software until it was no longer supported and obsolete.  Unfortunately, in health care, the second option was not going to work.

I've endured 60 days of training which involved 14+ hours of videos, numerous conference calls, and mock transactions.  Last week, we finally went "live" with the new software.  To say there has been a steep learning curve would be an understatement.  And here's a fun fact (sarcasm):  if I don't finish my paperwork at the office, I can now take it home to work on since the software is cloud-based.
Another fun fact:  I've never had to take my work home before now.

Add to all of this, we have been short-staffed for awhile and the office is busier than it has ever been.  My office manager is pregnant, will be leaving in September, and has been very sick during this first part of her pregnancy.  I've spent my "free time" interviewing prospective employees and thankfully, we have someone starting next week.

Since my daughter was born, I've only worked part-time at the office.  This has always given me time to take care of the kids, household, and my other part-time job (SU).  So far this year, I've been working 5-6 days per week.  And did I mention, I can take my work home now?  LOL

Overwhelmed and definitely not feeling like Wonder Woman = a real need to create something but no time, energy, or mojo to actually step foot in my stamp room.

Sound familiar to anyone?

I'm sure it happens a lot.  Every week, I lose 1 or 2 subscribers that say they just don't have time to stamp anymore.  I totally get it!

It would be so easy for me to quit.

However, I have a great team of demonstrators, fabulous customers, and a real love of stamping.  I just know I would miss it terribly.  And I also know that this "season" of life will pass and a new normal will develop.

You'll notice that I'm only doing 1 class per month.  I'll continue with my design teams and posting to my blog.  Once things have settled down, I'll have more to offer so I hope you'll stick around to see what's next.

I really appreciate each of you that continues to place online orders and attend classes!
Thank you so much!

SATURDAY CRAFTERNOON
I've had to change the time of this event due to my husband's schedule.  I have 2 kits available if anyone would like to join at the last minute.  Email me if you want one.
There will not be a beginner stamp class.  I will have a few retired stamp sets for sale.  You are welcome to stop by for a catalog, view samples, or get help on a project or with an order.

WHEN:  Saturday, April 22nd
TIME change:  1pm--4pm
WHERE:  Stout Chiropractic, Kokomo, IN

Create 20 gorgeous and unique cards for all occasions.  All supplies except adhesive will be provided.

And if you're not local or can't attend?
You can order this kit in my online store and assemble the cards at your leisure.  The only supplies that I suggest you have are SNAIL Adhesive, Tombow Multi-Adhesive and Paper Snips.

We need to make room for new products, so we'll need to say goodbye to some of our favorites.  Retiring products are available while supplies last or May 31.

The new annual catalog will be available to customers in late May.  I'll be sending complimentary copies to all customers that place an order in my online store this month.
